Peek Back

Artists like suspense a little too much. As in, “Hey friends and family, I’m happy to announce my new concert (or exhibition opening, film premiere, or book launch) tonight at 8:00.” Well, congrats on that, but would it kill you to give folks a little more notice?

Those of us working on The Season are in a constant struggle to cover the arts as they are happening and write about them before they join the history books. Despite our best efforts, some events will pass by without acknowledgement.

We are happy to add a new feature to our publication. It is called “Peek Back,” and each month we will capture a few interesting things that came to our notice after our latest issue was put to bed. We continue to add to our calendar of events, The Listing, even after something has taken place. Why bother? Because at the end of this year-long project, we want to have a rich document of as many offerings as we can. You can discover past events (including those newly added) by going to The Listing and navigating through “previous events.”
