Ryan Hamilton

In January 2022, fans of Ryan Hamilton were eagerly awaiting his return to Salt Lake City–two nights set for the comedian to perform and make them belly laugh. Sadly, only a few days before he was set to perform, the comedian announced that he would have to postpone the show. The reason: He was hit by a bus. As reported by ABC4, Ryan Hamilton said, “I am sorry to say I have to move some upcoming shows as I was in an accident. I was hit as a pedestrian in a crosswalk by a shuttle bus.” Many loyal followers took to his Instagram to show their support and shock for one of the most famous clean comedians.

Ryan Hamilton is a Latter-day Saint, Idaho raised, New York favorite comic. The New York Times said of him, “One of the most reliably funny regulars at the Comedy Cellar [in NYC], an observational comic who often riffs on the absurdity of his own wholesomeness.” He has been headlining his own show for years and his Netflix special, Happy Face currently streaming on the platform, is a favorite among fans and comedians alike.

Thankfully, after recovering from an arm that needed surgery, several broken ribs and even a collapsed lung, he began touring again last month. He will continue with dates through the end of the year and into 2023. In November alone he will be at Punchline in Philadelphia, Cobbs Comedy Club in San Francisco, and the Colonial Theatre in his home state of Idaho.--Arisael Rivera (All dates can be found on the comedian’s website.
